Position: Professor of Practice
Location: Delhi and Kolkata Campuses
Overview:
IIFT invites applications from Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) for the position of Professor of Practice (PoP). We are seeking distinguished experts who have made remarkable contributions in the fields of international business, trade, economics, and management. This appointment is based on specified criteria and the Institute’s rigorous selection process. The selected candidates will join IIFT on a full-time basis for a fixed term of up to 3 years and actively engage in institutional activities.
Minimum Eligibility:
- Candidates must have exemplary professional practice.
- Formal academic qualifications are not mandatory for this position.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of industrial/professional experience at a senior managerial level.
- Candidates must possess specialist knowledge that complements IIFT’s faculties and can introduce practice-oriented teaching and research frameworks into the classroom.
- Candidates must be Indian citizens and aged 60 years or younger at the time of application.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and design of courses and curriculum.
- Introduce innovative courses and deliver lectures in the Institute’s training and research programs.
- Mentor and encourage students in innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
- Foster enhanced industry-academia collaborations.
- Collaborate with faculty members to conduct workshops, seminars, research, and consultancy projects.
Duration and Nature of Engagement:
This is a contractual appointment for a one-year period, renewable annually based on performance, with a maximum duration of 3 years.
